In the wild, health care is, "Ow, I hurt my leg. I can't run. A lion eats me and I'm dead."

So I am on the "activities committee" for my ward (church group) and we planned a Halloween party that was a costume party and had good food. Organizing a Halloween party is pretty stressful. The decorations, the activities, the food. I think it turned out all right, but it could have been better. I wore the same costume I wear every year because I'm too lazy to come up with something better, and I'm really getting my money's worth of the costume. But here are some good costumes... Kara and John are Phd's in chemistry and are Bunsen and Beaker from the muppets.

Leilani is an astronaut.

Monica and I were two of the three people who planned the event. She is a dark angel.

Jason is a barrel of monkey's. Pretty much the funniest costume ever. We had a good laugh. There were some other good costumes, but this will have to suffice.

I have some other interesting news... I decided to serve a mission for my church once I graduate from the University of Michigan and defer Law School for a year. My mission will last 18 months. We do not get to choose where we go, so I have been waiting for my mission "call" for the last couple days. They say that it takes about 3 weeks, and today was day 26. Well, I will be serving the Spain Barcelona Mission from February 6, 2008 to August 2009. So that should give me enough time to prepare and apply to law schools, so that is good. This has been a very intense weekend where I considered a lot of things and I'm glad it worked out the way that it did. Just to finish the semester, save some money and spend 18 months serving the Lord.
