If this were my career, I'd throw myself in front of a train.

So today was probably one of the best days at work that I have had. I don't know if it was due to the dreary day so people didn't call their insurance agent, or the looming feeling that Michigan State Government was going to shut down so people already took care of all their insurance questions on Friday, or the fact that it was my boss's birthday and we had cake, but no matter what the reason it was a great day.

First, I tried to make a phone call and I hit myself in the eye with the corner of the phone pretty hard, thinking that I gave myself a black eye. It was pretty hilarious. Life really is funny when somebody does poke an eye (out). Then, only two people yelled at me. One was pretty early in the morning and I just siphoned her off to someone else because I couldn't answer her questions. The other person was mad because they didn't understand why their rates went up. Well, when you get your 16 year old a car, your rates go up... duh.

The kicker that explains my picture, is that a guy called for directions to our office. And I told him that we were right across from the Maserati dealership. He then said oh, you look at nice cars all day. I said yes, that's how we do it here. That way we can get all the rich people business... or some other remark. He then laughed for longer than it was funny, and then asked me if I was married and if I wanted to be married. He thought I was witty. I just then told him the directions and the suite number, and he didn't come in. Maybe he got lost. But either way, I can now say I've been proposed to... sorta. Trophy wife wouldn't be a bad aspiration, right?
