Wake me up when September ends

I've been asked to update my blog with pictures of my chipmunk cheeks, and alas, this is the best that I can do. I got my wisdom teeth removed on Tuesday (all 4 were impacted) and I am still feeling its after effects. I was really hoping I would bounce back pretty quickly, but nope... it's knocked me right out of commission for a few days. So drugs, pudding, yogurt, and soup have been my friends. I'm glad that I only have to do this once, because I would not elect to do it again.

I ordered some books online for my classes because they are inevitably cheaper online than from the campus bookstores and Shaman Drum. So I've been laughing at the titles as they have been arriving. My one class is History of the US Family, but I think it should be classified as a Women's Studies class because I have a feeling that we will be doing a bit of men bashing. Here are the book titles: From Back Seat to Front Porch: Courtship in 20th Century America; The Price of Motherhood: Why the most important job in the world is still the least valued; Homeward Bound: American Families in the Cold War era; and another one about race like the Arc of Justice or something like that... I don't have it in front of me. Needless to say, I think I'll have some interesting opinions to put my 2 cents in on. I hope its an easy class though... I still have to pick up a $155 coursepack... yeah. A coursepack. That costs $155... it must be like 1000 pages.

I have to plan a breakfast for a lot of people for Sep 15... How much do people eat for breakfast? I think I'll go with eggs, some kind of meat (bacon or sausage) and pancakes. Then like fruit. Breakfasts shouldn't be that complicated. I should probably write it down though.

So I'm really excited for Michigan Football! ESPN hates us and picks us to drop out of Top 10 and that we're a disappointing team. I guess they are just upset because they could never get into Michigan and experience Michigan Football first hand. Yay for football Saturdays! But for real, Bruce Madej and the Big Ten Network annoys me. No deal w/ Comcast? I guess I won't be watching too many away games... But I will be 21 in like a week, so I can go to sports bars now... not that I couldn't before for Michigan football because most games are in the afternoon anyway and I could go. I guess I'll just have to find a place to watch.

This semester is going to be crazy. I have a lot to do. Figuring out life is rough. wish me luck
