Celebrating Freedom

Work has been pretty crazy getting everything together for the 4th of July game, but it all worked out. The rain also held off and it turned out to be a beautiful day. I got a little sun burnt, but that's my own fault. After the game (which we won 2-0 !), there was a Clay Aiken concert and then fireworks. Now as much as I 'love' Clay Aiken, I'd much rather see someone else in concert. I was still at the autograph session when he started, and I don't even think he played any of his own songs... just covers... lame. I took Zach home (apparently he thinks fireworks are lame) and met up with Brian. We went over to the middle school to watch the fireworks. He's too cool to come into the stadium, apparently. They were pretty decent, but I do miss the Gilbert Willis festivities.

The Herlins are going on vacation today... an Alaskan cruise, and I am sooooo jealous! They are doing some pretty cool excursions like hiking a glacier and a helicopter ride or something. I wonder if they will adopt me... It's all right though. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is coming out, so that will be exciting. Plus we have about a million games in July... practically 1 every other day, and a lot to work on with the Golf Tournament and Casino Night. I think I'll manage to stay busy.
