"It’s a new day, full of new opportunities ..."

"... for rejection. I mean, who knows who might reject me today?"

I stole this quote from a law student talking about the job hunt.

I thought I might share some lovely rejection letters with the blogging world.

"Unfortunately, we are unable to pursue the possibility of your employment as a summer associate with us at this time. This is not a reflection of your qualifications or potential. I am certain you will find a position well suited to your professional goals, and I wish you well in this endeavor."

That is very polite. Thanks for the well-wishes. It really goes a long way.

"Although we are confident that you have the potential to become a successful attorney, we are not in a position to schedule an interview with you at this time."

If you were so confident in my abilities, I still am puzzled as why you don't want me to become a successful attorney working for YOU!

"Should our situation change, and in the unlikely event that you are still available for employment, we would appreciate the opportunity to talk with your further."

So there is still hope! Yes!

"Unfortunately, while your qualifications are impressive, we are unable to pursue your application at this time."

How can I be more than impressive? Someone, please help me out here... I really don't know what I can do beside be qualified, impressive, and have potential. What am I missing??

The job hunt is rough, but they're all confident that I'm great, so someone that wants to hire me MUST be out there somewhere...
