Yesterday I went to see "The Taming of the Shrew" that was done by BYU students. The show was really fun, and really funny. However, one thing (well actually many things) really bugs me about Provo. I know the LDS culture is all about marriage and families and that it is important, but can't you just let people breathe a little? Marriage is everywhere and there is no escaping it...
For example, in the programs that they handed out, there were advertisements. I'm used to seeing restaurants or upcoming plays advertised... Well, in Provo, this is what you get:
Do we really need these advertisements and coupons? I understand that I'm talking to the wall, but it still really bugs me...

Not to mention the messages in the advertisements that seemed to imply that we ourselves were shrews to be tamed...
Ugh, this would really annoy me too.
