So H1N1 is running rampant, as is that regular old flu. As a 1st year law student, the flu is not something that I have time for. (not that I think anyone has "time" for the flu). Many announcements and emails have expressed that if you're sick, stay home and all will be well. But let's be honest, all will not be well. I can barely keep my head above water by being at the library for 10-11 hours a day. Feeling like road kill and sleeping all day will not help me in any way whatsoever.
So this brings me to my question: what do you do when your roommate who just finished putting away the dishes tells you that she is feeling sick and thinks she has the flu?
Mutiny?
Strangulation?
Lysol?
What is the protocol?
I think as soon as the load of dishes that is in the dishwasher is done, I'm going to run another load with all of the dishes she just put away. I guess that is the only sensible thing I can do.
In other news as to why I am a terrible person: said roommate (flu bound) was doing the dishes and I was finishing eating, and I asked her to wait to run the dishwasher so that I could put my dishes in it. She said there was no room. I look in the sink and see a ton of dirty dishes still, and I think, there has got to be room in there, I mean at least for the silverware. So when she leaves to check on her laundry, I open the dishwasher and see more than just a little room. Ok, I may be a little OCD, but 1. there was still a ton of EMPTY space, and 2. with a little (and I mean minimal) rearranging, I was able to fit everything in. I would go and rearrange all of the dishes that she put away too, but I'm just going to put them back into the dishwasher, so why bother... This is precisely why I do the dishes everyday.
Things I have learned in my 2 months at BYU:
1. I don't like people
2. I don't like roommates (well at least not FIVE roommates)

Haha. Can I be your roommate? Oh, right, I'm still staying away from Utah and certain people therein (not you).
:)
If it comes to strangulation, you might want to douse with Lysol first, just to cover your bases! ;)
