Are you sure? They're kosher.

So I went back home to Michigan for the weekend for my brother's (the one on the far left) wedding. It was about time he got married! He was wanting to like 3 years ago at least, and never thought he would. Anyway, he got married to a girl who he's known for quite awhile, and our families apparently go back to the Ferndale days (when I was nonexistent and then born). So it was a lot of fun, but I never realized how annoying posing for pictures for weddings really is. Getting everyone there at the same time and posing. I mean sheesh, she has 6 sisters. It was fun to go home for the weekend and see my family. It was good to see Andrew & Amanda too. I probably won't see them again until Christmas at the earliest. He's moving to Alabama for his PhD in Biochemistry about the same time that I travel back up to Michigan.

While I was home, good ol' Wixom has some random stuff going on to show off the new Town Square, so we walked around the Wixom showcase. I really like the new fountain though. It looks good, and should be fun for ice skating in the winter as well. We just hung out and played games like we always do when we're with family. The reception was pretty comical with my Jewish family and my Mormon family all coming together. Now granted, half of the Jewish family is in Hawaii, which would have been even more comical, but I had a smirk the entire night nonetheless.

This is a picture of my friend Shawn and me at the reception. It was good to see him. After I went back to school last year, it's like he totally disappeared. He aided in the comical attributes of the night. All I know, is that if and when I ever get married, I'm going to be sure to have a nicely decorated place with catered food. I don't want to do much... I want to be taken care of!

This lovely photo is of the deer that was very human friendly on the boardwalk to Loon Lake. We took a walk down there because I wanted to take pictures of the lake to show people in Texas what my terrain is all about. The deer just added to the authenticity of my town. I've been telling people about how there are tons of lakes and the road turns but keeps the same name because of the lake, so I thought I'd take some nice lake photos. (And I did)...

A lot has been going on in my life. I finished the 7th and final Harry Potter novel, and thoroughly felt complete after reading it. It was everything that I expected and more. I mean I didn't predict much correctly, but I feel good about it. I've been working pretty... well semi-hard. The alleged "David Beckham" game was yesterday... sans David Beckham, so a lot of people were pretty mad that the tickets were so expensive when he didn't even show and there was all the hype, but the game turned out to be pretty exciting. The stadium was full, and we (FC Dallas) went down 4-0 in the first 18 minutes... Yep that's right, a stomping by any means. But as it turned out, we only ended up losing by 1... the score was 6-5! I cannot believe that there were 11 goals scored in one game. Carlos Ruiz also had an amazing bicycle kick goal that was called offside. I wasn't in position to see it, but I would say it was debatable. Now I'm just gearing up for Lift Up America on Saturday and then my last week with the organization and a road trip back home with my mom.

Things here are going well. Brian and I are talking about what we're going to do, so that's pretty ... strange. It's been a good summer... no complaints here. Now I just have to figure out what I want to do with my life and where I want to live. Life is complicated, but I'm sure it'll all work out.
