Domesticity

Domesticity must skip a generation every once in a while. My mom is quite the seamstress. She sent me this great quilt a few months ago. I don’t even know the first thing about quilting. Unless the first thing is that it is difficult and time consuming.

My mom is even the president of her local chapter of the American Sewing Guild. She’s always working on projects and making amazing things.

I am a completely different story. I currently have a button sitting on my dresser that I’m waiting to take with me the next time I see my mom so she can sew it on for me. (My dryer has ripped a couple of buttons off of my favorite sweater, but I’m wearing it anyway…)

Lest you worry that I’m completely inept, I have asked a coworker to do some sewing for me. ;)
