So I know I'm a little strange, but I absolutely love living in the city and being able to take the metro. I love public transportation. Seriously, I can go anywhere I want in a huge city and just wander around without a solid plan. That is the beauty of the metro system. Of course the cons are the stairs, but I just think of how toned my calves are going to be in a few weeks. :)Just how nerdy I am with the metro is that I have been timing my route to work and mapping the most efficient way to go. For example, when I get to the first metro station, I walk all the way to the other end of the platform (what is via in English?) because the exit that I want is at the other end. ... Yep, I'm that nerdy. It takes me about 20 minutes to commute to work. I don't mind it.
I think I am going to try a different line today. Because I wouldn't have to switch lines, but I would have to walk a little further on both ends of the trip. But who knows, it might even be more efficient with the walking from one end of the station to the other and then waiting for the connection. I'll see how it goes.
I like the city life. It's upbeat and interesting.
