I could be completely wrong here, but I had a weird experience the other day. I'm leaving institute, it's cold, and rainy, and I'm texting someone in my study group about the next days assignment when this random guy asks me where I live. Well actually, he asked me if I lived in a certain apartment complex. I replied no, a little confused.
Then he said, "Do you need an escort?" I looked at him, completely puzzled, with an "are you serious face?" decided that he was completely serious, and told him "no."
I don't need an escort. I would NEVER say that I needed an escort. Second of all, asking if I need an "escort" is creepy. What's wrong with saying, "Can I walk you home?" Sounds way better in my opinion, and let's face it, I'm the one you're asking.
Maybe I just squashed some poor guys confidence. (I mean he could have been trying to take President Uchdorf's suggestion about the walking a girl home thing.) This could explain why I spend most of my Saturday nights watching movies by myself in my pajamas...
But who's with me here? That was really weird! I even asked my friend who's from Provo and she said that's never happened to her, so it's gotta be a little weird.

I loved BYU, but that's one of those "only at BYU" experiences...
Yeah "Escort Services"... Creepy.
he was told just a few weeks ago that he needed to walk someone home:) thats how you find a wife... he was simply following counsel! haha i guess in a creepy sort of forceful way
actually you should have said "usually it's girls who are in the escort service" and given him a wink. and when he didn't get the joke, you should have just laughed and said "you can walk me home anyway."
