Everything’s WETTER in Texas

(posted on May 30, 2007)

So it’s supposed to be super hot in Texas, but instead, it’s super stormy! Unusually stormy (apparently) for this time of year. In my four minute commute to work, it managed to go from dark and looking like it would storm, to ferocious winds, and downpour/hailstorm. Even the radio had an alert saying to stay in side until 10:15 to wait for the storm to pass.

Well, I thought I would be better off running through the storm and going inside than waiting for it to pass and I really couldn’t run... I was soaked in that minute thoroughly and I had to fight the wind to even make it to the door. Eloisa was just laughing as she waited for me to reach the door because of how soaked I became. Needless to say, I was very wet, and they let me go home at lunch because I was freezing (rain-soaked clothes and air conditioning don’t really mix).

My boss was like “go home, put on some pajamas and curl up on the couch, we’ll see you tomorrow.” That was very nice of her. I ended up coming home, watching tv for a little bit, then studying a lot for the LSAT. Let’s hope that my improving scores in logical reasoning continue. I’m starting to panic... D-day in less than two weeks.

On a positive note, I have a date this weekend.
