Dilemma & Drama

Dilemma:

I got an offer to work for a public interest organization in Chicago.
Pros:
+ Chicago
+ Interesting work
+ They want me
+ Good resume builder

Cons:
- Unpaid
- Entire Summer
- Not exactly what I want to do in the future
- Need decision ASAP (Tomorrow)

I'm stressed out because although I finally got an offer, I have a callback interview tomorrow and another interview with a law firm. Both of these options are paid. Neither of them are in Chicago. I also have another firm in Chicago that I'm working on getting a job at, and I'm not sure if it will be paid or not. I have also applied to work in the legal department of a big company in Chicago, which would be paid, and something that I'm a lot more interested in.

My other jobs
BYU Gen Counsel
Pros:
+ Interesting Work
+ Paid

Cons:
- Provo
- Entire Summer

Sacramento Firm
Pros:
+ More like the work I want to do
+ Paid
+ Not Utah

Cons:
- Gamble to wait and see if I get it
- Not Chicago/NY/DC

I thought that I would be so excited when I finally got an offer that it would be a no-brainer. That is definitely not the case. What am I going to do?!

As for the drama, there is some serious drama going on in the law school right now with elections for SBA President (like student body president). Somebody is going to get a smack-down tomorrow. I think the whole thing is pretty ridiculous. It is a big deal, but I think it has been blown way out of proportion...

The Great Outdoors

These photos aren't that great of quality because I took them on my phone, but they are the best that I have...

The other day, I went with a mission friend hiking in Pleasant Grove, UT. We went on Battle Creek Trail. (It made me want some Kelloggs cereal, and no one I was with understood my joke ... it's sad being far from Michiganders.)

But let me tell you, it was difficult for me. I'll blame it on whatever I can - the altitude, never hiking mountains before, etc. Anything but the fact that I'm just really really out of shape. It was a lot of fun, but I definitely need to get into a more regular exercise routine and include hiking in the mountains as one of my regular training activities. But just enjoy the beauty that is the Battle Creek Trail:

P.S. I'm thinking about running a 5K in August. (August 27/28). I've never run a 5K before. I'm more of a play sports kind of person rather than a go for a run by myself kind of person. Maybe this will be motivation to get a better exercise routine. So please, encourage me to go running.
