Regardless, in the last two months I've probably taken the "retail therapy" route more than I'm used to. I finally decided that I need to get some nice dresses and professional clothes.
And I must have looked like a schlub before because everyone noticed my updated wardrobe. It was time.
February goes by so fast! It's only 2-3 days shorter than other months, but holy cow! Can anyone believe how fast it's flown by?
It's probably because the first 14 days I'm grudgingly thinking about how I don't have any special Valentine's plans and the days leading up to the day are here before you know it (even though this year I had a great Valentine's Day with my family); and the second half of the month, you can't believe how much candy you still have left over from your gluttony over the previous fact so you cruise through the days on sugar highs.
I mean Valentine's Day and Fat Tuesday in the same week? There was no chance I was going to stick to my health regiment this month...
But in good news, the end of February means, that Spring should be here soon! Although it's much warmer in Washington, DC than it is in Detroit, I commute to work via walking and metro, so I've definitely been feeling the chill. But at least most days are sunny even if they chill you to the bone. Sunny days really do sweep the [internal/personal] clouds away.
Happy March everybody!

Flown by? Honestly, this was by far the longest month I've experienced in a long time.
Oh no! I'm sorry you feel that way! Maybe because it's especially cold in Detroit and all the snow just seems never ending. For me, I took a trip for the long weekend and then some other interview type stuff that made it seem like it went so fast! Just think, spring will be here before you know it. And then you'll get another snow storm. But then spring will really come and then summer and then relaxation and fun trips. Right?
