The Eco Friendly Toilet

Another bathroom related post. I will remind the blogging world of my test of friendship: You know when you have truly become friends when you can discuss bowel movements. Be warned...

I'm all about doing your part to save the planet, but every time I go to the bathroom at work, I cannot resist thinking about the toilets. The toilets at my work are special water saving toilets which use less water when you press the handle up. This is meant for (as the sign says) #1.

Granted it makes sense, but I have two thoughts. First, it makes more sense to have the #1 water saving be the down flush because that is more common in bathroom usage and people are used to pushing the handle down, so by default it would be saving more water. Now, I understand that the default is probably the more high powered flush so that if there was some sort of problem, people would naturally do the higher powered flush... but I still think that is flawed when it comes to trying to save the whales (or whatever).

My second thought is much creepier. What if people can track the types of flushes and are doing some sort of weird experiment. I don't know, but it creeps me out every time.

This toilet has caused me to think a lot, so I thought I'd share with you.

Also you'll notice in the sign that it indicates that the handle is coated to protect against germs. The handle is actually green. I don't know if it protects against germs, or how that would work, but I make sure to use hand sanitizer.

Am I totally crazy for writing a blog post about this? I'm sure that I am.

Speaking of bowel movements, remember that one time in Spain... need I say more?
