Sometimes it is nice to get away from the city for a little bit of time and to be in nature. Apparently, to get away from the city, and be with nature, I have to drive about 2 hours away to Starved Rock State Park. I guess I could stop among the cornfields along the way... ;)
I went with a couple of my friends to try the hiking trails. After a few missteps and carefully crossing some barbed wire, we made it to the proper hiking trails.
Next time we head to the state park, we'll probably check to make sure more trails are open...
